Garden Study
& Lath House

Tucked within the New Orleans Botanical Garden, the Garden Study Center and Lath House offer a setting that feels both historic and naturally beautiful. Originally designed by architect Richard Koch as part of City Park's WPA-era development, the Garden Study Center has been carefully restored to highlight its classic brickwork, elegant windows, and cottage-inspired character.

Just steps away, the Lath House brings an open-air feel to the experience. Natural light, soaring ceilings, architectural lanterns, and a translucent roof create a bright, inviting space that feels connected to the gardens while still offering some protection from the elements. With the Conservatory, lily pond, and surrounding greenery nearby, guests are surrounded by the beauty of the Botanical Garden from start to finish.

Together, the Garden Study Center and Lath House create a distinctive setting for weddings, rehearsal dinners, social celebrations, corporate gatherings, and events with a natural sense of charm. Rich in history and surrounded by some of City Park's most beautiful landscapes, this venue feels intimate, memorable, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
